Meet the Principal
Dear Mountain View Families,
It is with great excitement that I introduce myself as the principal of Mountain View TK-8, opening in August 2025. I am honored to lead this incredible journey as we establish a school that will serve as a hub of learning, inclusion, and innovation for our students, families, and community.
I bring over 20 years of experience in education, having worked as a classroom teacher, resource teacher, academic coach, and assistant principal. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students in primary grades Kindergarten, 1st grade, and intermediate grades 5th and 6th, which gave me a deep understanding of the developmental and academic needs across all levels. As an academic coach and assistant principal, I worked to implement instructional practices that foster student success while building strong relationships with families and staff.
As a former English learner, I am especially passionate about supporting bilingual students. Mountain View will feature P-BVUSD’s first Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program, empowering students to become bilingual, biliterate, and cross-culturally aware while excelling academically. This program will foster a vibrant, inclusive environment where students develop the skills and confidence to thrive in an interconnected world.
As we prepare for the opening of Mountain View, I look forward to meeting each of you and working together to build a school that reflects the hopes and dreams of our community. I am eager to hear your input, share updates, and answer any questions you may have as we embark on this exciting chapter together.
I look forward to meeting you, hearing your input, and working together to create a school that reflects the hopes and dreams of our community. Thank you for your trust and partnership as we lay the foundation for Mountain View.
Warm regards,
Erica Rojas
Principal
